SwingView AI is operated by Predictive Growth Labs, based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what the app collects, what leaves your phone and when, who processes it, how long it is kept, and the choices you have.
Recording and pose detection happen on your iPhone. While the camera is on, the app tracks your body position on the device (using MediaPipe) to detect each swing and measure tempo. The live camera feed is not streamed to any server.
Your recordings, swing history and profile are stored on your phone. Recordings saved on your phone include sound if you allow the microphone. If you allow access to Photos, the app also saves recordings to your photo library. If you add a name to your profile, it stays on your phone and is not sent to us.
AI analysis and coaching run on our servers, not on your phone. The app asks for your agreement first. Until you agree, no swing video is uploaded for analysis and no chat request is made.
When you tap Analyze, the app uploads that swing clip to SwingView's servers. The clip is sent without sound. Faces in analysis uploads are not blurred.
With each analysis the app also sends:
When you use the coach, the messages you type are sent to SwingView's servers with your device identifier, along with your golfer profile (such as skill level and goals) and any session goal you set.
Each completed swing analysis (its measurements and coaching text) is added to your chat session so the coach can refer to it.
Three outside companies process data for SwingView:
These companies process this data to provide the service. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.
Separately from AI analysis, you can choose to contribute swing clips to help improve SwingView's swing analysis. This is optional and stays off unless you opt in. Analysis uploads are not part of it, and AI analysis and the coach work the same whether or not you contribute.
Contributed clips are sent without sound. They are face-blurred on your phone before upload, using Apple's Vision framework. Blurring is best effort: a frame where no face is detected is sent as recorded, so a face may sometimes be visible.
Each contributed clip is uploaded with pose landmarks, swing phases, tempo, skill level and camera position, plus recording details (device model, iOS version, app version, video resolution and the capture time). No name or email is attached.
You can turn contribution off at any time in Settings > Data & privacy. Clips waiting to upload are removed and uploads in progress are stopped. Clips that already reached our servers stay there until you request deletion.
The app has no accounts and does not ask for your email address. A name you add to your profile stays on your phone. The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising and no tracking. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write.
You can turn AI processing off at any time: open Settings from the gear on the Me tab and switch off "AI analysis & coaching" under Data & privacy. While it is off, no swing video is uploaded for analysis and no chat request is made, so AI analysis and the coach are unavailable.
Turning it off stops further uploads. It does not delete what was already sent. To remove that, request deletion.
On your phone: swipe a swing in the Sessions tab to delete it, or delete the app to remove everything the app stored on the device. Copies saved to Photos are deleted in the Photos app.
On our servers: to delete clips you contributed for training, go to Settings > Data & privacy > Manage my data and tap Request data deletion. To delete videos uploaded for analysis and your coach conversations, email support@swingview.ai. Deletion requests are handled within 30 days.
This section applies to swingview.ai, not to the app. If you join the waitlist on the website, we receive the email address you enter. The form is handled by Formspree, which receives that address to deliver it to us. You can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing support@swingview.ai.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent you have given. To use any of these rights, contact us at support@swingview.ai.
SwingView is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us data through the app, contact us and we will delete it.
When this policy changes, we will update it here and change the effective date at the top.
